                         Herbal Tea







Herbal tea is technically known as herbal infusions and it is less commonly called tisanes,are beverages made from the infusion or decoction of herbs, spices and other plant material in hot water.It is made from variety of herbs ,spices and flowers like tulsi,pepper,mint,Damon,liquorice etc. to take herbal tea is good for your health.

How herbal tea made?

Herbal tea is prepared by soaking dry herbs,spices,dry leaves,flowers, fruits in hot water.you can consume herbal tea with hot and cold water.herbal tea is totally caffeine free it is suitable for the people who wants to reduce caffeine intake.

Comman herbal teas:-





1.Tulsi(basil)
2.Liquorice(mulethi)
3.Mint(pudina)
4.pepper(Kali mirchi)
5.cardamom(elaichi)
6.fenugreek( methi)
7.Carom(ajwain)
8.Cinnamon (dal chini)
9.ginger(adrak)
 

Herbal Tea is safe or not:-

Herbal tea is generally safe for every one but some people may avoid taking herbal tea if they have allergies,or take medication.some people may experience side effects. 

What are the benefits of taking herbal tea:-

Herbal teas have various health benefits -

1.Immunity- some herbal tea like echinacea and ginger,Tulsi and mint helps strengthen the immunity.

2.Relief in stress:- Herbal tea like ginger,basil, chamomile have calming properties it helps in reducing stress and anxiety.

3.Antioxidant power:- herbal teas have antioxidant power which helps combat free radical damge and reducing risk of chronic diseases.

4.Hydration:- Herbal tea helps us to stay hydrated when all the herbs infused.

5.Digestive support:-herbal tea like ginger,mint,basil and carom may helpful in soothing upset stomach, relieving gas.

6.Easy Sleep:- some people usually taking herbal tea before sleep as it promotes better and easy sleep.
7.weight management :-herbal teas may helpful in reducing weight and obicity.
8.Cold and cough:-herbal tea may helpful in reducing cold and cough problem.

Other than Benifits there are some side effects of herbal tea -

1.Nausea:- some herbal tea may feel like vomit after taking.
2.Dizziness-it may occur dizziness.


Who should consult a doctor before taking herbal tea -
1.people having some kidney and liver disease 
2.people who are taking medicines.
3.pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid taking herbal tea.

Some other considerations ..

Excess consumption of herbal teas may have some adverse side effects, because overdose of certain teas can lead to toxicity in the body.herbal teas should be taken in moderation not exceeding 4 cupa in a day.
  
How herbal teas are used:- herbal teas can be used in various ways such as dried leaves,green leaves, steam and roots.

Importance of herbal tea:-

Herbal teas are really important for us because it provides a natural source of antioxidants, promote us relaxation and stress relief,it boost our immunity,it improves our digestion .it hydrate our body.

Why we use herbal tea ?

Generally people use herbal tea for its potential health benefits such as relaxation, reducing inflammation,improving digestion, maintaining immunity and relief from anxiety, stress and headaches,and normally herbal tea is free from caffeine so people love to take it.
